As another dance year gets underway, we want to take a moment to simply say thank you.
August and September are always a whirlwind at Footlights. They are some of the busiest weeks of our entire calendar year, filled with dancers preparing for a new season, studios getting their students outfitted, teachers and directors organizing classes, and families making sure everything is ready before that first step into the studio.
For us, these weeks represent so much more than a busy season. They are a time to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new dancers and families, and help everyone get ready for another year of doing what they love.
And that is why we are here.
During these months, our days often begin early and continue around the clock as we work to be there for our dance community. From fittings and customer orders to receiving and preparing inventory, coordinating shipments, supporting studios, and managing the many details that make a new dance season come together, there is always something happening behind the scenes.
We are fortunate that so much of our work allows us to do what we love: serve dancers, support studios, and be part of the dance community we've been privileged to know for so many years.
To every dancer, family, teacher, and studio who continues to make Footlights part of your dance journey — thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and allowing us to be part of so many special moments along the way.
Every August and September, we are reminded why we do what we do. These weeks bring long days and plenty of moving pieces, but they also bring something incredibly special: the opportunity to watch another generation of dancers begin a new chapter.
That's something we never take for granted.
As the back-to-dance rush begins to settle, our attention is already turning toward Nutcracker season, preparing for winter performances, and the holiday season ahead.
So before we rush into everything that comes next, we wanted to pause and say thank you for choosing Footlights, trusting our experience, and allowing our story to continue being part of yours.
